Jan. 9, 2015

This morning at 5am I got a phone call saying Kenzie’s school was closed for a snow-day. I was so happy, I turned off the alarm to get her up and went back to sleep. Then my mom in law called me to make sure I knew, and I was happy for the confirmation because I thought I had been dreaming. Im not really sure what I said to her because I don’t remember really talking, I just remember her saying no school haha.

So we slept in, then when we got up, we ate breakfast and got ready and headed over to my moms house, because Kimmy and Eli were in town. :)

We hung out there, knitted more washcloths, talked, laughed, ate lunch and had a great Friday time as we do every Friday when Kimmy comes. We were all sitting there when dad came in with a surprise for me, I had no clue what it was, it was in a big huge brown bag and super light. It was a big stick I carved all the bark off of, and made a point for a poker for our camp fire when we were camping during the summer. Dad carved “Vikki’s stick” in it. It was so sweet! I thought he burned it up with the fire wood, but he saved it for me…he is so sweet and special to me!

The kids played with legos, almost the whole time we were there. Kimmy built a awesome bulldozer out if some of the legos my mom found at Salvation Army about a week ago for only $5.80. Its pretty awesome!

The kids were so cute, they were all taking turns singing God’s Not Dead, and then when they sang it together it was funny…but super cute!

Isaac wouldnt smile for the first pic, so we did it without him haha…Nana and Aunt Kimmy got him smiling for the 2nd pic!

I had to take Kenzie to wrestling practice at 3pm so we left and after I dropped her off, the kids and I went to Jacks to get dinner…chicken fajitas…yum!

Kenzie got done at 6 so I picked her up and took her to a friend of ours to babysit, then I came home and made chicken fajitas…they were so good! While I was making them, the kids were eating the green, yellow, and orange peppers. They loved them…yep they are mine! haha

The kids ate them very good! I was kinda shocked! But they were also very hungry too haha.

After I cleaned up and sat down for a little while, I got the kids ready for bed…with Rodys help…and brushed teeth, read the Bible, and prayed, and they got into their peapods. Then I decided to go hang out with Melissa and Bruce until I had to pick up Kenzie, since they live only a minute away from where she was babysitting. Melissa and I sat and talked for a few min, then Bruce came in and he sat and made fun of stuff we were talking about…thats Bruce for ya hahaha. Hailey and Max came down, I think because they heard that I was there…which they were already in bed…Sorry Mel haha

Then when I was getting ready to leave, we thought they went to bed but they were being super quiet and hiding on the steps listening to us, just like we used to do with our babysitters when we were little hahaha.

It was really cute!

I picked up Kenzie then we went to Walmart to get something for Kenzies School Whiteout Dance…they just have to wear something white. The dressing room was closed, so she tried on everything over her tank top in the store haha. She is my girl! She found a really cute shirt, and she is going to wear black leggings with it. It was fun just hanging out with just me and her for a little bit.

We got home and she ate some Chicken fajitas, while I worked on knitting my 2nd washcloth, this one is much easier than the one I did last night. I had a little practice, but I also wasnt following a pattern, just the simple knit. So much better, easier, and gives me practice to get faster. This one is purple, and so cute!

My friend Jenny, sent me a pic of a brochure that her son Louie is in. He was born at 25 weeks, only 1 lb 8 oz I think it was. He was a micro preemie…what a little miracle. Super exciting to see him in a brochure haha. I told her Louie is famous now haha. He also marched and played his little drum in the Disneyland Parade in CA. Everyone was clapping for him and taking videos of him. I just absolutely loved seeing that. He is so cute!

Here is the brochure:

Isnt that awesome!!!

Here is a clip of him in the parade:

Now I am going to bed, I am so tired! I feel like it was a really busy day! WOW!

Goodnight

Jan. 8, 2015

Today I woke up got the kids fed and dressed and we went to Kimmy’s house. We hung out for a while and talked and drank coffee. Then she taught me how to knit a washcloth. She let me pick out of her stash of yarn, and I tried using connected knitting needles, but didnt like them very much cuz they were small and made my hands crampy. I guess my hands need some exercize! haha

I had to stop knitting cuz a winter storm was coming, so I wanted to make it home before the roads got too bad, and before it got dark.

On my way home I picked Kenzie up from wrestling practice…she was sad, because of some stuff going on at school, so I just prayed for her and let her explain everything to me. Its tough being 17 :(

We got home and she was much happier after getting alot off her chest. Rody had pizza all ready for us, and I was so hungry by the time we got home. We watched a show called Property Brothers, while the kids played. Then I worked some more on my washcloth. Then it was time for the kids to go to bed so I told them PJ time. Peyton asked if she could get her own PJ’s on and I said yes, so she got undressed, put a pullup on, and got her footie PJ’s on all by herself, I didnt help her one bit! Yay PEYPEY!!! We all clapped for her. That made Isaac want to put his on by himself, so he got his clothes off, put his pullup on, and got his PJ’s on all by himself too! Yay ISAAC!!! SO we all clapped for him too! My life is that much easier lol

I got them in bed and then worked on my washcloth til 12:15 when I finally finished it! Geez! Im slow!!!

I didnt cast off (I think thats what its called) yet, Im waiting for Kimmy to walk me through it tomorrow…hopefully the roads will be good so she can come to moms house tomorrow. Geez, I want her to come, but on the other hand I sure would like them to cancel school! It would be so nice to sleep in! We shall see!

Here is my washcloth:

Its pretty bad, but I still like it! All my mistakes give it character! Pretty good for my teacher not being by my side for most of it! I did have to call her a few times though haha.

Well I am tuckered out!

Sorry for no pics of the kids today…and boo for me not taking any pics at Kimmys :(
