January 11, 2016

This morning we got up early and headed to Ann Arbor for Isaacs surgery. He has a little bit of skin covering more than half his pee hole which is making him pee crooked and grunt when he pees just to get it out. So they are going to fix that today!
We got there and Isaac got to go play in the toy room. When he would see a girl you he would say "mommy I think Peyton would like this!" He was so excited at all the toys!
This is the house he really liked and wanted to take a picture for Peyton

They gave him some Tylenol and then some relaxing medicine and within a few minutes he was comfortable and acting silly. He didn't even care that the nurse and doctor came and took him back...I was happy he was feeling so comfortable. :)
They were going to do a breathing tube but he was having some asthma issues so they decided to just do the mask. Then he got the iv as well to put him to sleep.
We went down and sat in the cafeteria until they paged us on our little pager. It was only about 40 min later and the surgery went great! The doctor explained to us what exactly he did and he said Isaac did great!
We had to wait in another waiting room until he started to come out of his anesthesia which seemed like forever but was about 40 more minutes. I knitted on my bag until they paged us again.
I was so excited to see him. He didn't really recognize us at first but then he started coming around after a couple minutes. They said he kept asking about his car, we were all surprised he remembered it. It was a toy he got after they gave him the drowsy medicine.
He started talking and they gave him a Popsicle but he couldn't get it to his mouth very good so the lady took it and made it into a slurpee for him. We fed it to him.
Then he said he had to go potty so Daddy took him. Rody said he didn't have any issues with peeing and I was kinda shocked! I thought it would burn to pee and i thought he'd be scared to pee. But he wasn't not at all. Rody said he couldn't believe the difference.
Then they took the iv out and let him pick out stickers. They said he could have as many as he wanted. And they told him he could pick out some for Peyton too.

Our first time seeing him after surgery
Daddy feeding him his slurpee
They told him to smile so he could leave so this is how he was smiling...haha first smile!
Then he was smiling bigger and bigger haha
He wanted me to take a pic of Cubbie

They gave him crackers and juice and some for him to take home to Peyton and then we left. We had to stop down at the pharmacy to get his pain meds and then we left. We got lost finding our way out and then when we got out to the car ramp we couldn't find our car. Finally after about 30 minutes or maybe longer we found it.
We made it home safe and stopped at Nana and Papas to pick up Peyton.
Then we all had Olive Garden gift cards so we headed over there for dinner. We saw so many people we knew.

Being silly with Daddy

We ate our food and Isaac mowd his food down haha! He was starving I guess! He had a ton of spaghetti and ate it all! We thought he would have about half leftover to take home but he didn't! So Peyton took here home and she will share it with him tomorrow. :) sure was fun spending time with mom and dad, always is!
We headed home and Peyton and Isaac played with all the stuff they got from the hospital.
They loved going through all the stickers
I'm sure you can tell which ones are Peyton's haha
After the kids went to bed I watched Pride and Prejudice and it was so good! I loved it!!!
And I knitted my bag til I finished it.

Then I went to bed. Long day!!! Now I can't wait til tomorrow, they are outing a new furnace in! Yay!!!
