Dec. 24, 2014

Woke up pretty early this morning. We had to be at my moms house by 9am for our Christmas!

We got there, Dad read the Christmas story from the Bible. All the kids sat and listened so good. Hes got such a soothing voice, I love hearing him read every year! What a great tradition…hes done this as long as I can even remember!

Then we opened gifts! Kenzie was first since she had to leave to go to wrestling practice…yep on Christmas Eve :(

It was so cute watching all the kids open their gifts…every one of them opened and showed such great appreciation and thankfulness for everything they got! We got great kids in our fam!!!

It was fun watching all us adults open gifts too, especially mom and dad…I love seeing what Dad gets for Mom and I love seeing them so blessed with great stuff! Mom got her calendar from me with all our pics in it for the whole year and she loves it every year! Im happy to do it for her…she totally deserves special everything! So does dad! My mom made us washcloths which are so special…thinking of all the time she put into it just for us to wash dishes! Im so happy to have every wash cloth shes ever made me! How special!

Then we ate dinner…my mom always makes so much good yummy soothing food! It really feels like Grandma and Grandpa are still here with us when we are eating, everything reminds me so much of them! My mom just knows how to make it so special for all of us!

^^^ here is one pic that Kenzie and Bruce took ^^^ its me enjoying my moms good cooking haha

Then we just hung out and laughed and had great conversation! And we all watched Kenzie eat a scorpion sucker from Mel and Bruce with a real scorpion in it. Kenzie ate the scorpion! It was so nasty! But very entertaining! Isaac and Peyton also took a few licks!

Bruce posted a crazy pic of me to facebook and even tried to tag me in it. SO i told him he was gunna get it! I put a note on his back that said something like “kick my butt, I like it!” haha it was so funny, but he found out within like 5 min. So i kept putting it on him!

Then I got a great pic of him sleeping so I put that on facebook and tagged him in it and wrote Paybacks suck!!! OMG it was so funny!

We got alot of pics of all of us, but Im sad cuz I didnt get any pics of my nephews and niece :( o well, Im sure their moms did :) Ill have to steel some from them ;)

^^^ arent they just so cute!!! ^^^

My mom and dad were going to watch Kimmys kids ring bells at their church. I wish they didnt live so far away so we could go…I was just so exhausted and didnt feel like driving at all :(

We stopped at Mel and Bruces on the way home cuz Mel had a pair of Christmas pj’s for Isaac…which he absolutely loved and was so excited about!

Then we got home, played with Christmas toys…legos, duplos, dolls, monster trucks, and everything else.

Then the kids had a bath with tons of bubbles in it, nana and Papa got them the bubbles for Christmas. They loved them! They wanted to call nana and papa right away and tell them about it haha

Then I got the kids in bed, they are sleeping in their big kid beds tonight which they are super excited about!

When they were going to sleep I started drawing my pic on the easel (dry erase side). I usually draw a letter of the day and a pic to go with it, but tomorrow is Christmas so I wanted to do something super special since its Jesus’s birthday! SO i decided to draw a nativity scene. The whole time I was drawing the kids were saying “whats the letter of the day mommy?” And i just kept ignoring them…and they eventually fell asleep. I think they will really like it! Ill be keeping this one up through the whole Christmas break! :)

Now Im off to bed! Lucky me, Rody wrapped all of our gifts. So I can hop right into my warm bed. Goodnight everyone! Hope you have a wonderful Christmas tomorrow!

We dont set out cookies or whatever because we dont believe in Santa. We kindof did the Santa thing with Kenzie when she was little, but I never made him seem real.

I dont want a imaginary person to get the credit for getting the gifts for my kids that we worked so hard for. And I also dont want to take away from the true meaning of Christmas…the birth of Jesus! Now if He wants to come into our house, He is welcome! Santa can just fly on by haha. We got this Santa!
