Wedding plans...

By this time both my sisters were married…Melissa married Bruce in 1998 and Kimmy married Jared in 2003 just 6 months before me. They both had huge expensive weddings!
Actually Melissa already had my first niece named Hailey.
We made and sent out all our invitations. We got my dress, a formal dress from Deb’s clothing store in the mall. We got our rings from KMart haha. A lady Rody knew made us a free wedding cake. We had left over stuff from Kimmy’s wedding we used to decorate. Kenzie was going to be my flower girl and she still had her dress from Kimmy’s wedding. Melissa was our photographer. Kimmy was my maid of honor, and her hubby Jared was Rodys best man. We chose them because they didn’t even look at Rody and I as “black and white”. They always stood by us no matter what!
Kimmy wore a black skirt and a red shirt, and Jared matched her in a suit and tie. My theme was pretty much Valentine’s Day colors since it was the day before Valentine’s Day. ❤️💍
My dad walked me down the isle, then married us in front of over 100 people our friends and family. Kenzie was 6 at this time and Rody had gotten her a little promise ring and gave it to her in front of everyone. He got down on his knee and he promised to love her and be a good daddy to her and then he put the ring on her finger. It was the sweetest thing I had ever seen!
After the wedding we had a reception with just cake and snacks in the back room. Then went to the bar for some drinks. Then to a hotel for the night.
A few days later we drove to Florida for our honeymoon. And we took Kenzie with us to Disneyland! It was a lot of fun!
